I took a really cool course this summer offered by my county. I wrote about it in a previous post. Those of us who took the course got an ipod touch to use in our classrooms. I've been trying to think of the best way to incorporate it into my library media lessons. Since I have such large classes it is difficult. I've been doing a lot of thinking about breaking the classes into small groups and having them do "centers". One of the centers being the ipod touch. I'm still in the planning stages. Has anyone ever done centers in the library before?

I too am thinking about doing centers. My only problem is that my one where I do classes is very small , but I do have a bank of computers. so I am trying to figure out some computer centers to do with a group of 5 or 6 , and then will figure out what to do with the rest of them.
ReplyDeleteI've got a set of 9 computer for one or two groups. I was thinking of trying to use my digital cameras(video option), my flip cam, and my ipod touch with the others. I don't think that I will try anything until after Book Fair. Please share if you get any ideas.
ReplyDeleteCould you have them do some kind of writing / producing book commercials?
ReplyDeleteMy county is really diving into research, especially with the Common Core Standards being used. I think that I'm going to try and do a round robin model with the research. Don't know how it will work, but I've got to try.
